natural

Ok...I  made a promise to myself that I would NOT go product crazy during this natural hair journey!  lol.  I don't know about you, but I spend hours (ok, not hours but you get my drift) walking up and down the hair care aisles reading about and sniffing the delicious smelling products like Miss Jessie's, Twisted Sista and so on.  I get caught up!  But last week while doing a co-wash I noticed that the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner I've used (bought it before deciding to go natural) was just about gone.  PERFECT opportunity for me to try the Cantu products I've heard so much about.  Soooo...Long story short (or is it already to late for that) I purchased a bottle of Cantu Moisturizing Conditioner and Cantu Moisturizing Conditioner.  Yes, you read that right.  I spent so much time agonizing over which shampoo products to buy that I accidentally purchased 2 conditioners not 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner!  lol.  Of course I didn't realize this mistake until I began washing my hair.  So here are my thoughts on the Cantu Conditioning product: Ok, so I washed my hair with the little John Frieda moisturizing shampoo I had left (pictured below),

The cantu bottle suggests using a generous amount of conditioner, working from root all the way to the tips of your hair.  This was really easy.  The consistency of the product was much looser than other conditioners I used and it spread through my hair very easily.  I immediately noticed how soft my hair felt while working the conditioner through.  I get that with some conditioners, but my hair actually felt silky!  Made me very happy considering how dry the ends of my hair felt earlier. I left the product in for about 5 minutes. Didn't even comb it through since it spread so easily and I didn't have any tangles (I detangled before shampooing).  Rinsed it out and my hair felt noticeably softer - again considering how dry my hair has been. My hair felt very clean.  Sometimes conditioners - particularly when they make your hair feel this soft, can leave your hair feeling "heavy," but that wasn't my experience at all.  Overall I give this product a 4.5 out of 5 stars and given it's price - $4.99 at Walgreens, it's a GREAT buy!  I'm looking forward to trying the shampoo AND conditioner next time!  :) Have you used the Cantu Moisturizing Rinse Out Conditioner?  Tell me your thoughts!  Comment below! Thanks for reading and I hope you found this to be helpful. Toodles!
